I had a difficult time with the post this week. The different whites didn't want to sit next to each other: a perfectly nice white would suddenly grow green or flush pink when posed beside another white. Such squeamishness from my otherwise pleasant photos.
To make matters more complicated, hidden in a bag that I was not allowed to open till Sunday, was a Mother's Day present Ike made for me in preschool. I wanted to include a photo of him with it, and I begged and pleaded with him to sit for me with it. After all that fuss, the photos turned out blurry and greenish. So I made him do it again, with better results. But the image sort of set the tone for the other images to follow, and I had to leave out other images I liked. So, those other photos are posted here. (Perhaps my favorite of these others being this one.)
All that said, I'm happy with the images I settled on. The last two photos were not taken this week: the lovely white cows were at the country fair in Lac Brome, Quebec last September and the final image is of Carlito Carvalhosa’s “Sum of Days" on display at MoMA in November.

We are off to the hospital at 5:30 AM this morning with Genevieve (so be patient if I do not comment on your photos till later tonight or tomorrow). Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers!
Next week's photo Friday theme: on the sidewalk. Or, if you live somewhere without a whole lot of sidewalk: on the street, or even, perhaps: on the driveway (I think this last one covers you, Jenny). I am looking forward to seeing the things you all step over or around!

You've got some awesome ones here, Amber! The first one is just plain fun, and pretty, and precious. And of course I adore the cows - how totally unexpected, and yet again, somehow pretty. I struggled a bit with this challenge too, but enjoyed it. Prayers for you and your family today!
I am too firmly rooted in the Old Testament to feel comfortable adoring bovine images, but if were to worship a cow picture, this would be it.
And I really like the bathroom planes and shades and lighting.
I had trouble seeing white this week, let alone shooting it.
The last one is amazing, but my favorite is the cow one. Awesome. I also really like you bathroom (if it is yours).
On another note, I am so happy that your daughter is home with you again, and all is behind you.
It is exciting to see how well Photo Friday is taking off. All of your photos are wonderful, as usual. I like that you can see that Ike is proud of his creation in the first photo, and I think the last photo is fit for National Geographic or something of that caliber.
