Amber, these are gorgeous! The light, the tones, the texture, the compositions - utterly artistic. My favorite is the first one of your son. I love his peaceful expression and how the light falls directly on his face and body. Well done!

The first and last images are absolutely wonderful.

On an other matter, last week I could not enter the "correct" not-a-robot-proof despite multiple attempts. (I liked the Brooklyn shot.) Perhaps my dyslexia, or my cataracts, are getting in the way. I will try again this week.

These are gorgeous. I like how it is not just the objects that express gentleness, but especially the tones of these black and white images. Beautiful.

Amber, the photos are beautiful and express gentleness and I would say softness. The quote also is so powerful.

Also: I know I am so stuck on John O'Donohue, but the top photo also reminds me so much of his discussion of the body in Anam Cara. He says the human body is "luminous" and defends its goodness.

Thank you all! The first photo turned out so well. I took it this Thursday in an attempt to get a gentle shot of my son and daughter, but, really, gentleness is not one of their default expressions with each other. The photo of Ike looking at Genevieve here was far more moving than the others. I agree, Julia, he is luminous.
